  • History: The Music Tech program at Oak Prairie was developed 5 years ago as an alternative to a traditional middle school general music class.  Projects have grown and developed with the changing software and networking environment.
  • Success Stories from NTM Activities: Music Tech has become a widely popular class (along with our Digital Art counterpart).  Non-traditional music students offer some very creative insight into how music is structured in the popular music world.  Many students with special needs have been especially successful in this program, as the curriculum and projects are tailored to each individuals understanding of the music around them. Likewise, students with some musical background have created many outstanding projects!
  • Advice to Others Starting NTM Project: Don't be afraid to learn from your students!  They can show you how to do many processes, just because they've played with similar programs in other classes or at their friends homes. The more you teach NTM, the more fun it becomes!
